About You
Something motivated you to go looking for a therapist. Perhaps you’re at a transition point in your life. Something is cropping up within you or your intimate relationships that deserves extra care.
People I work with are often looking to understand themselves more deeply. Our internal worlds are vast, and they communicate with us when there is something going on that deserves extra attention. I view the project of therapy, and of life, to be coming into greater compassionate understanding of ourselves and others so that we can show up in our relationships, and our lives, with more authenticity, love, and self-connectedness.
Life is full of transitions, and some of them shake up our worlds more than others. Becoming a parent is a transition that can be just as destabilizing as it is joyful. Perinatal and postpartum anxiety and depression can be debilitating, and the impacts of new parenthood on a relationship can feel daunting to overcome on your own. With my experience in supporting families with young children, therapy is a space where you can receive extra care for the challenges of this period on yourself or your relationships.
